Gaucho Baseball Academy, UCSB

UCSB Gauchos Baseball offers many different programs designed to help baseball players of all ages improve their hitting, pitching and defensive skills.  Programs include individual or group lessons, weekly hitting clinics, and youth baseball camps.  Lessons and clinics are held in the covered, lighted batting cages so programs run regardless of darkness or rain.    
 
After each Sunday home game during the 2014 baseball season, the Gaucho coaches and players will host a free 1-hour clinic for all kids in attendance.  The clinic will start 10 minutes after the game is finished, and will include games, hitting and defensive drills.

Santa Barbara Grizzlies Baseball
Tom Myers and Jeff Salazar


Santa Barbara Grizzlies coaches Jeff Salazar and Tom Myers offer private hitting and pitching instruction for players 10-18 years of age.   One-on-one hitting sessions focus on proper hitting mechanics and the importance of core strength and hip mobility.  During pitching lessons, players learn proper pitching and throwing fundamentals, with emphasis on throwing arm exercises, long-toss routine, and bullpen sessions.  For more detailed information, please visit the Santa Barbara Grizzlies website or click here to send an email to (pitching) or (hitting).

Team Training Opportunities

 
Gaucho Baseball Academy, UCSB
 
DPLL managers and coaches can schedule a team clinic at the UCSB batting cages, during which their entire team can receive instruction on any skills that they need to work on.  Clinics are held in the covered, lighted batting cages so the training can occur regardless of darkness or rain.  The Gauchos also offer their Baseball Buddies program.  This program allows your Little League team to attend any home Gaucho baseball game for free!  The team will take the field with the Gauchos for the National Anthem, throw out the first pitch, sing "Take me out to the Ballgame" and get autographs after the game.  For more information or to schedule a team clinic, please email , Gaucho Baseball Academy Co-Camp Coordinator.
 
 
San Marcos Baseball

San Marcos Baseball offers Little League teams the opportunity to come train with the coaching staff and varsity baseball players at San Marcos High School.  Players will work on defensive fundamentals, throwing programs, base running and hitting with the guidance from coaches and players.  This is a great opportunity to get some personalized training for your team.  First session is free!  For more information or to schedule a session, contact at (805) 453-2027 or to send an email.
